In Remembrance

I was exchanging correspondence with my old high school music director from my senior year through Facebook. He said this, which totally and unexpectedly made my day...

"I think about all you kids from PCCA frequently. Oh by the way, I show your Senior Recital to my classes every once in a while, when we are discussing concert etiquette and stage presence. Hope you don't mind... They love you... They always ask me if you can come sing for them. :) "

How CUTE is that? What a compliment. :-D That really warms my heart. And now I feel the need to go do vocal warm-ups... Hahaha!

That reminds me of when I was e-mailing my 1st grade (yes, you heard me...FIRST GRADE) teacher and she told me she still shows her class samples of my story books that I wrote when I was seven!

I have to be honest and admit sometimes I go through periods of time where I feel I am forgotten easily. I know it's not important in the grand scheme of things, but I'll wonder sometimes if the people I went to school with ever think about me like I often think about them. Did I have an impact on them at all?

I'm sure there are people that have forgotten about me and don't think about me after I've passed out of their life, but there is One who will never forget me. One who will always love and cherish me. One who loves the littlest things about me. And it's in the little reminders of others remembering me that I know He wants me to remember Him and the promise He made to never forget us.

"Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you. Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me." ~~ Isaiah 49:15-16
